Marbella Hen Party Boat Charters — Which One Is Right for Your Group?

Ask any group who has done a Marbella hen weekend what the highlight was. The answer is almost always the boat.
Not the villa — though the villa is where the weekend lives. Not the night out — though a big night in Puerto Banús is hard to beat. The boat. Every time. The moment the group steps off the marina and onto open water, with nothing around them but the Mediterranean and the coastline of southern Spain in the distance, something shifts. The phones come out. Someone opens the first bottle. The bride puts on the sash she's been pretending to resist. And the day becomes the thing the group talks about for years.
Marbella has some of the best private boat charters on the Costa del Sol, and we work with all of them. But they are not all the same — and picking the wrong one for your group is an easy mistake to make when you're choosing from a list of names without knowing what each one actually feels like on the water. This guide covers every charter in our collection honestly, from the most budget-friendly cruise to the full luxury yacht experience, so your group boards the right boat.

Why the Boat Gets Its Own Day
One thing worth saying before we get into the charters.
A boat day works best when it has the space to breathe. The temptation is to combine it with another activity — beach club in the afternoon after the boat, or a morning activity before boarding. It never works as well as you think it will.
A boat charter from Puerto Banús typically runs three to four hours. By the time you factor in getting to the marina, the charter itself, swim stops, getting back, and transferring anywhere else, you're into early evening. A beach club at 6pm, with the DJ winding down and the beds already going, is not the beach club experience. Give the boat its own day — villa morning, marina for midday, back to the villa by late afternoon to get ready — and both the boat and the evening that follows are significantly better for it.
The Charters — An Honest Guide
Float & Fizz Budget Hen Cruise — Puerto Banús
Float & Fizz is the right answer for groups who want a private boat experience without the premium price tag. It's a genuine private charter — your group has the vessel exclusively — with drinks included and the full Puerto Banús marina departure. The experience is exactly what it should be: open water, sunshine, fizz, your group together.
For smaller groups or groups working with a tighter per-head budget, Float & Fizz delivers the boat experience without the full-day commitment of the larger packages. It's also a good option if the boat is one of several activities across the weekend and you want to keep individual costs manageable.
Best for: Smaller groups. Budget-conscious groups. Groups who want the boat experience as part of a packed weekend without it dominating the per-head cost.
Girls at Sea Hen Cruise
Girls at Sea departs from marina a short drive from Puerto Banús — worth knowing if your villa is on the eastern end of the coast. It's a fun, social cruise with a relaxed energy, suited to groups who want a great day on the water without the full production of the larger catamarans. Drinks are included as standard.
Best for: Groups based further east along the coast. Groups who want a relaxed, social cruise. Smaller to mid-size groups.
Hen Party Catamaran
The Hen Party Catamaran departing from a marina approximatley 30 mintues drive from Puerto Banus, is a solid mid-range option for groups who want the catamaran experience — more deck space, more stability, more room for the group to spread out — at a price point between the budget cruises and the fully loaded Puerto Banús packages. Good for groups of up to 25 who want a private charter with space to move around.
Best for: Mid-size groups. Groups based on the eastern stretch of the coast. Groups who want the catamaran experience at a more accessible price point.
The Cheeky Catamaran — Pink Instagram Edition — Marbella

The Cheeky Catamaran Pink Instagram Edition is exactly what it sounds like — a private catamaran charter built for hen parties, with a cheeky butler on board, coordinated sailor hats for the group, photo props, and a setup designed specifically to make the day look as good as it feels.
This is consistently one of the most booked charters in our collection, and the reason is straightforward: it's specifically designed for hen groups and it shows. The butler, the props, the whole energy of the day is calibrated for a group of women who want to have fun and come home with photos that do the day justice. It's not subtle. It's not trying to be. And for the right group, it's absolutely brilliant.
Swim stops are included, and catering can be added from our full menu of on-board options.
Best for: Groups who want the full hen party boat experience. Groups who want a cheeky butler and a fun, high-energy day. Photo-focused groups. Groups who want something that feels purpose-built for a hen do.
VIP All-Inclusive Catamaran Party — Puerto Banús
The VIP All-Inclusive Catamaran Party is the premium catamaran option departing from Puerto Banús. Private charter, larger vessel, drinks included as part of the all-inclusive package, swim stops, and the full catamaran experience with a proper VIP setup. For groups who want everything taken care of and a price per head that covers the day completely, this is the one.
It also suits larger groups well — capacity runs up to 25 on a single vessel, and for groups beyond that we can arrange multiple catamarans sailing together.
Best for: Groups who want everything included. Larger groups. Groups who want the most complete catamaran experience departing from Puerto Banús. Groups who want a VIP day without any of the organising.
Floating Hen Spa Cruise — Puerto Banús
The Floating Hen Spa Cruise is a different kind of boat day. It's a private charter with a ten-minute spa treatment for every person on board — think massage, beauty treatments, relaxation — built into the cruise alongside the drinks and the Mediterranean backdrop. For groups who want a boat day that feels genuinely luxurious rather than just fun, this is the one.
It's also a great option if the bride is the kind of person who'd rather be pampered than handed a sailor hat. Not every group wants maximum energy on the water. Some groups want to feel looked after, and the Floating Hen Spa Cruise delivers exactly that.
Best for: Groups who want luxury and relaxation over high energy. Brides who love wellness and pampering. Groups looking for something genuinely different from a standard charter.
The Ultimate Hen Yacht Experience — Puerto Banús
The Ultimate Hen Yacht Experience is the top of the collection. A private luxury yacht, departing from Puerto Banús, with watersports, swim stops, complete exclusivity, and a setup that is as far from a shared boat trip as it's possible to get. This is for groups who want the real thing — a genuinely beautiful vessel, a day that feels properly special, and an experience that sits in a different category to everything else on the water.
It suits smaller groups better than the large catamarans — the yacht experience is about intimacy and luxury rather than fitting 25 people on deck. For a group of ten to fourteen who want their boat day to be the premium experience of the weekend, the Ultimate Hen Yacht is the answer.
It books early. If this is the one, get in touch as soon as your dates are confirmed.
Best for: Groups who want the most premium boat experience available. Smaller groups who want luxury over scale. Groups where the boat is the centrepiece of the whole weekend.
The Catering Add-Ons — Worth Knowing About

Every charter in our collection can have catering added. All food is pre-prepared and delivered straight to the boat before departure — no carrying crates, no DIY, nothing to organise on the day. Here's what's available:
Boat Bar — Champagne & Roses — Champagne, rosé, and the kind of presentation that makes the bride feel properly celebrated. The right upgrade if you want the drinks to match the occasion.
Boat Bar — Spirits & Sun — A full spirits bar for groups who want cocktails and mixed drinks on the water rather than just fizz.
Boat Bar — Bubbles — Prosecco and sparkling wine for groups who want the celebratory feel without the champagne price point.
Paella & Bites — Proper food for a proper day out. Paella on a boat on the Mediterranean is one of those combinations that works better than it has any right to.
Tapas Package — Sharing plates, grazing, easy eating. Suits groups who want food without committing to a full meal format.
Grazing Boxes — Meats, cheeses, fruit, sweets. Individual boxes per person — easy, beautiful, and no mess.
Sushi & Sweet Bites — Sushi platters and dessert bites. For groups who want something a bit different from the standard boat food options.
Our honest recommendation: add catering. A boat charter with food and drinks sorted in advance is a completely different experience to one where the group is trying to figure out lunch arrangements at sea. Pick one food option and one bar option and the day takes care of itself.
What to Expect on the Day
Departure is from Puerto Banús marina for most packages — the heart of Marbella's most glamorous area, easy to reach from villas across the western Costa del Sol. Two of our charters depart from marinas further along the coast, both around a 30 minute drive from Puerto Banus.
Charters typically run three to four hours. The skipper handles everything on the water — you're there to enjoy it. Most charters include swim stops at open-water locations in the Mediterranean. The skipper picks the best spots based on conditions on the day.
Dress code: swimwear, cover-ups, beach dresses. Matching swimwear is very popular with hen groups and works brilliantly for photos. Flat shoes or bare feet on board — heels are not safe on a moving vessel. Bring sunscreen. A light layer for the journey back is useful if your charter runs late in the day.
You can bring your own drinks and snacks — no red wine or glassware. If you've added a catering package, everything arrives pre-loaded before departure. Nothing to carry, nothing to sort.
On bad weather — Marbella has over 300 days of sunshine a year and weather cancellations in hen season are rare. In the unlikely event conditions are unsafe we'll work with you and the operator to find the best alternative. We never send a group out in unsafe conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions About Marbella Hen Party Charters
Are the boat charters private or shared with other groups? Every charter in our collection is completely private — your group has the entire vessel exclusively for the duration of the trip. You never share a boat with strangers.
What's the difference between a boat, catamaran, and yacht? Boats are smaller vessels suited to groups of up to around 11 — more intimate, ideal for smaller hen groups. Catamarans are larger twin-hull vessels with more deck space, more stability, and capacity for groups of up to 25. Yachts are premium private sailing vessels with a more luxurious, exclusive feel and additional features like watersports. We'll always recommend the right vessel for your group size and budget.
Which boat charter is most popular for hen parties? The Cheeky Catamaran Pink Instagram Edition and the VIP All-Inclusive Catamaran Party are consistently the most booked hen party charters in our collection. For groups who want luxury over party energy, The Ultimate Hen Yacht Experience is the standout choice.
Can we add a cheeky butler to any charter? A cheeky butler is included as standard in The Cheeky Catamaran Pink Instagram Edition and can be added to most other packages. A DJ can also be arranged for larger vessel bookings. Just mention it when you enquire.
How far in advance do we need to book? As early as possible — boat charters are the most popular hen do activity in Marbella and the best packages and time slots go months in advance. For peak summer dates — July, August, or May — we'd strongly recommend booking at the same time as your villa. See our full guide to when to book a Marbella hen weekend.
Can we swim from the boat? Yes — most catamaran and yacht packages include swim stops at open-water locations in the Mediterranean. The skipper finds the best spots depending on conditions on the day.
What happens if it rains? Marbella has over 300 days of sunshine a year and weather cancellations in hen season are rare. In the unlikely event that conditions are unsafe for sailing, we'll work with you and the operator to reschedule or arrange a suitable alternative. We never send a group out in unsafe conditions.
How many people can fit on one boat? It varies by vessel. Our largest single catamaran accommodates up to 25 guests. For groups larger than 25 we can arrange multiple catamarans sailing together — which makes for a spectacular day on the water. Get in touch with your group size and we'll find the right solution.
Should we do the boat and beach club on the same day? We'd recommend against it. Both experiences are better when they have the day. A boat that ends at 5pm followed by a rushed beach club visit doesn't do justice to either. Give the boat its own day and both the charter and the rest of your weekend are better for it.
