Marbella Hen Do Villa Ideas — How to Make the Most of Your Private Villa

There's a version of a Marbella hen weekend that happens entirely at the villa — and it's one of the best hen weekends you can plan.

Not because you've run out of things to do in Marbella. Because the right villa, set up properly, with the right experiences layered through the weekend, is genuinely brilliant. A live paella cooked in front of the whole group by the pool. A cocktail masterclass in the late afternoon before a night out. A themed villa party setup that's ready before the group even checks in. A cheeky butler keeping everyone entertained while the sun goes down. These aren't fillers between the big activities. For a lot of groups, they're the moments the weekend is remembered by.

This guide covers everything you can do with your Marbella villa — the party packages, the dining, the entertainment, the extras — and how to put it together into a weekend that actually flows.

The Villa Is the Foundation — Not Just the Accommodation

Before anything else, it's worth saying this clearly: the villa isn't where you sleep. It's where the weekend happens.

A Marbella hen villa is your base, your party venue, your dining room, your getting-ready space, and your private pool party all in one. The groups who understand this get the most out of the weekend. The groups who treat it purely as accommodation and fill every waking hour with external activities often come home feeling like they never really settled in.

The rhythm that works: arrive Friday, settle in, villa evening. Saturday out — boat or beach club. Saturday night out. Sunday villa day — relaxed, unhurried, the kind of morning that turns into an afternoon without anyone noticing. That's a three-night weekend that uses the villa properly and gives every experience room to breathe.

Our villa collection runs from Villa Liora sleeping 12 to Villa Celeste sleeping 23, split between Puerto Banús — walking distance from the marina, beach clubs, and nightlife — and Elviria on the eastern side of Marbella for groups who want more space and privacy alongside a brilliant weekend. Every villa has been personally vetted by our local team. We've been inside all of them.

Villa Party Packages — Six Themes, Everything Arranged

The simplest way to turn your villa into a proper party is a villa party package. Every package arrives fully set up before your group needs it — themed decor, a DIY cocktail station, poolside food, hen games, and a cheeky butler — so the only thing anyone has to do is enjoy it.

There are six themes. Here's what each one actually is.

The classic bridal package. Elegant, celebratory, exactly what it sounds like. For groups who want something that feels genuinely special and centred on the bride rather than a specific theme. The aesthetic is bridal — white, gold, and the kind of setup that photographs beautifully by the pool.

A citrus and sunshine theme built around the bride finding her person. Fun, warm, summery. Works brilliantly in Marbella's heat and light. For groups who want something playful rather than classic.

Coastal, nautical, Marbella-specific. Shells, seafoam, and a theme that actually makes sense given you're 200 metres from the Mediterranean. For groups who want the location built into the celebration.

Tropical, wild, high-energy. Lush greens, bold colours, the full jungle treatment. For groups who want the most visual and Instagram-ready setup — the kind that fills a pool terrace with colour and looks spectacular in photos.

Country and western, fully committed. Gingham, boots, hay bales, and a cocktail station that fits the theme. For groups where the bride loves the aesthetic or the group wants something genuinely different from the standard hen party look.

Mexican-inspired, sun-soaked, and built for Marbella afternoons. Margaritas, bright colours, and a theme that pairs perfectly with a Spanish terrace. For groups who want something fun, easy, and completely at home in the setting.

Every package includes a DIY cocktail station, themed pool inflatables, a poolside food station, and hen games. Some include a cheeky butler as standard — check the individual package for what's included. A DJ, frozen cocktail machine, and additional catering can all be added to any package.

Villa Dining — Private Chefs and Catering Delivered to Your Villa

One of the most underrated decisions you can make for a Marbella hen weekend is keeping some meals at the villa. No restaurants to book, no waiting for a table, no splitting bills, no one missing out because they're still getting ready. A private chef arrives, sets up, cooks, and serves — your group doesn't organise a thing.

Breakfast and Brunch

The morning after a big night out is one of the best moments of any hen weekend — everyone surfaces slowly, congregates by the pool, and the day begins at its own pace. Having breakfast sorted makes it genuinely lovely rather than a scramble for supermarket supplies.

There are four breakfast options depending on what your group wants. The Full English Breakfast — because sometimes that's exactly what's needed. The Continental Breakfast for something lighter and more relaxed. The Sweet & Savoury Breakfast Station for a grazing spread that works at any pace. And The Sparkling Continental Breakfast — continental spread with a bottle of cava per person, which is the right call if the first morning deserves marking properly.

The Villa Feast

Live Paella Cooking & Spanish Tapas is one of our most consistently booked villa dining experiences — and it's easy to understand why. A chef sets up on the terrace, tapas platters go out for the group to graze on, and then the paella pan goes on. The cooking becomes part of the experience — the group gathers around, the smell builds, and by the time the feast is served everyone is together in exactly the right way. It's very Marbella, genuinely delicious, and completely different from going to a restaurant.

For groups who want something heartier, The Big Sizzle: Hog Roast Party is a proper outdoor feast — the kind of centrepiece dining moment that suits a larger group and a big villa terrace. The Villa BBQ Feast is a more relaxed version — a private chef running the grill while the group does whatever it wants around them.

Grazing and Sharing

Share & Savour Finger-food Feast is the right option for groups who want good food available throughout the day without a formal sit-down meal — sharing plates, finger food, a DIY cocktail station included as standard. Works brilliantly alongside a villa party package or a long afternoon by the pool.

Villa Entertainment — What to Add to Your Weekend

Beyond the party packages and dining, there's a full range of entertainment that can be added to any villa day. These are the things that turn a good afternoon into a great one.

The hen party classic. A professional, good-humoured cheeky butler who keeps the group entertained, serves drinks, and ensures the bride is properly celebrated. Can be added to any day of the weekend and works brilliantly alongside a villa party package or a relaxed pool afternoon. The Cheeky Butler & Stripper Combo adds a professional 15-minute surprise show — popular for groups who want the classic hen party experience.

A private cocktail masterclass at the villa — a professional mixologist teaches the group how to make cocktails properly, everyone gets involved, and you end up with a table full of drinks and a skill you may or may not use again. A great late-afternoon activity before a night out — it keeps the group together, gets everyone in good spirits, and lands at exactly the right time.

Five drink station styles to choose from: Bubbles & Bash (cava-based with bellinis and mimosas), Citrus Queens (vodka-based), Rum & Fun (rum-based mojitos and cuba libres), Simply Sparkling (cava, rosé and wines), and Sassy Spritzers (Aperol spritz, rosé spritz and tropical spritz). Each station includes all garnishes, ice, and DIY instructions — set up and ready for the group to use throughout the day.

A cava glass wall set up and ready when the group arrives — the first thing they see when they walk in. It's a small detail that makes a big impression and sets the tone for the whole weekend immediately.

A hosted painting session with personalised canvases — three designs to choose from (Marbella Sunset Chic, Pop the Bubbly, and Beach Bloom Bliss), each personalised with the bride's name, destination, and year. A bottle of cava per person, snacks included. For groups who want something creative and different from the standard hen party activities — and come home with something to keep.

A professional life drawing class at the villa with a live model — a popular hen party activity that's genuinely funny, slightly chaotic, and usually results in artwork that nobody frames. Hosted properly, with cava.

A professional DJ at your villa — the right call if you want the villa to feel like a proper party rather than a playlist on a speaker. Works brilliantly as an add-on to a villa party package or as a standalone evening experience.

How to Layer It All Together

The question most group organisers ask is: how much is too much? The honest answer is that trying to fill every hour with a scheduled experience is the thing most likely to make the weekend feel exhausting. The best villa weekends have a clear shape and some genuine breathing space.

Here are three combinations that work well in practice.

Friday arrival day: Welcome cava reception wall ready on arrival. Cheeky butler in the afternoon while people settle in. Sparkling continental breakfast the next morning.

Saturday villa day (before a night out): Live paella cooking and tapas in the afternoon — the group eats together properly. Cocktail masterclass in the early evening before getting ready. Out for the night from there.

Sunday slow day: Full English or continental breakfast. Paint & Sip session in the late morning for groups who want something to do before checkout. Pool for the rest of the afternoon.

These aren't prescriptive. Every weekend is built around the specific group. But the principle is the same: anchor the villa days with one or two experiences that feel genuinely special, leave room for the unplanned moments, and don't try to schedule every hour.

How to Choose the Right Villa for Your Group

The villa is the one decision that affects everything else about the weekend. Getting it right matters more than any other single choice.

Group size is the starting point. Our collection runs from Villa Liora and Villa Solara at 12 guests up to Villa Celeste at 23 and Villa Zafira at 21. For groups of 15 or more, Villa Calista (sleeps 20), Villa Siena (sleeps 18), Villa Amara (sleeps 18), Villa Eleni (sleeps 18), Villa Nerina (sleeps 18), and Villa Soleil (sleeps 19) are all in the right range. For groups of 14 to 16, Villa Luminara (sleeps 14), Villa Aurelle (sleeps 16), Villa Alina (sleeps 15), Villa Aurelia (sleeps 15), Villa Estelle (sleeps 15), and Villa Samira (sleeps 15) all fit.

Location is the second decision. Puerto Banús puts your group within walking distance of the marina, the beach clubs, and the nightlife — the right call if your weekend is built around going out. Elviria offers more space, more privacy, and a quieter residential feel — the right call if the group wants to be based somewhere beautiful without being in the middle of everything.

Outdoor space matters more than indoor space. A Marbella hen weekend happens outside. Multiple terraces, a large pool area, outdoor dining for the whole group — these are the things that determine how the villa actually feels to live in for a weekend. We know which villas have the outdoor spaces that work best for groups and will always factor this in when we make a recommendation.

Book early. The best villas at the right sizes for peak summer dates go 10 to 12 months out. If you have a specific villa in mind, the time to secure it is now. See our full guide to when to book a Marbella hen weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions About Marbella Villa Hen Weekends

Do all your villas have private pools? Yes. Every villa in our collection has a private pool exclusively for your group. No shared facilities, no strangers. The pool is yours for the entire duration of your stay.

What's included in the villa hire? Villa hire includes the property, all bedrooms, the private pool, outdoor spaces, and standard amenities — WiFi, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, linen and towels. Mid-stay cleaning can be arranged for an additional fee. Pool heating may be available on request. All specifics are confirmed when we send your proposal.

Can we book villa experiences without booking our villa through you? Our villa experiences — party packages, dining, and entertainment — are designed to work alongside a villa booking made through us so we can coordinate access, timing, and setup seamlessly. If you're staying elsewhere, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Can we combine multiple experiences across the weekend? Absolutely — most groups do. A cava wall on arrival, live paella on Saturday afternoon, cocktail masterclass before Saturday's night out, and a full English on Sunday morning is a very common combination. We coordinate all timings so nothing overlaps and everything fits around the rest of your weekend.

Are there noise restrictions at the villas? Most villas have quiet hours from around midnight. We include all house rules in your itinerary so your group knows exactly what to expect. We're on the ground in Marbella throughout your stay and always available if anything comes up.

What is the check-in and check-out time? Check-in is typically from 4pm, check-out by 11am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request depending on the property — we'll always try to accommodate where possible.

Is there a security deposit for the villa? Most villas require a security deposit on arrival, typically taken as a credit card pre-authorisation. The amount varies by property and is always confirmed in your proposal. It's standard practice and is released after checkout subject to a routine property check.

How far are the villas from Puerto Banús? Some of our Puerto Banús villas are within walking distance of the marina — typically 10 to 20 minutes on foot. Others are a short taxi ride of around 15 minutes. Our Elviria villas are on the eastern side of Marbella — a slightly longer drive but in a beautiful, quieter setting. We'll always be clear about distance and location when we recommend a villa.
