3-day Marbella hen weekend itinerary — Puerto Banús marina aerial view

Three days in Marbella is enough to do it properly — if you plan it right.

A Friday arrival, a full Saturday on the water, a proper night out, and Sunday at a beach club before the flight home. That is the shape of a three-day Marbella hen weekend that groups talk about for years afterwards. The ones that fall flat are the ones that try to squeeze in too much, end up rushing between things, and never quite settle into the weekend.

This itinerary is built around how we actually plan three-day hen weekends for groups from the UK and Ireland. For the complete picture of every marbella hen do idea available and a full planning a marbella hen weekend guide, both are worth reading alongside this. It uses real products, real venues, and the kind of timing that actually works — not a generic template lifted from a travel site.

If you're weighing up whether three days is enough, the honest answer is yes. You do not need five days to have an exceptional Marbella hen weekend. You need two or three things done brilliantly, a private villa to come back to, and a group that's ready to make the most of it.

Before You Arrive: What to Book First and Why It Matters

The villa goes first. Everything else — the boat charter, the beach club reservation, the restaurant booking — is confirmed once you have your villa dates locked in.

This matters more than most organisers expect. In peak season, which in Marbella means May through August plus bank holiday weekends, the most popular villas for groups of 10 to 20 guests go months in advance. We regularly have groups come to us in April asking about July and find that the villa they want is already gone. Some of our most popular properties for larger groups are booked 10 to 12 months ahead.

That is not us applying pressure. It is just the reality of how competitive the Marbella villa market has become as the destination has grown.

Getting a proposal sorted early costs nothing and commits you to nothing. It means you can see exactly what is available for your dates, compare villa options against your budget, and hold your preferred property while your group decides.

We come back within 48 hours with villa options, activity suggestions, and a full cost breakdown built around your group size and dates.

Day 1 of Your 3-Day Marbella Hen Weekend: Arrive, Settle In, Set the Tone.

Getting there

Most UK flights into Málaga arrive late morning or early afternoon. From Málaga Airport to Puerto Banús is around 45 minutes depending on traffic — longer during peak summer weekends. We arrange private transfers for every group we work with, so nobody is standing outside arrivals trying to coordinate a fleet of taxis or work out the bus route.

Private villa pool Marbella hen weekend — arrival day Puerto Banús

The villa

Check-in is typically from 3pm. The first afternoon is when the weekend actually starts — not in the air, not in a transfer, but the moment the group walks through the villa gates and sees the pool.

We stock the villa with groceries and drinks before you arrive if you want it. You tell us what you need, we arrange the delivery, and everything is in the fridge when you get there. No supermarket run on arrival day.

The villa is fully private. No shared spaces, no other guests, no neighbours peering over a wall. That complete privacy is one of the things groups comment on most — the freedom to be loud, stay up late, use the pool at any hour, and genuinely feel like the place is yours for the weekend.

When you are choosing a villa for a three-night stay, the things that matter most are: the pool size relative to your group, whether there is a covered outdoor dining area for evening meals, the number of bathrooms, and how the bedrooms are configured. A villa that sleeps 14 in theory but has only two bathrooms is a very different experience from one with six. We go through all of this when we build your proposal.

Friday evening — two options

The best Friday evenings we plan fall into one of two categories.

Option one — stay at the villa. A private chef dinner on arrival night is one of the most popular additions in our proposals and one of the best value things you can add to a weekend. Live paella cooked outside by the pool, a full villa brunch, or a private chef dinner with multiple courses — the group sits down together on the first night, properly fed, without anyone having to get dressed up and go anywhere. It is a genuinely brilliant way to start.

Option two — go out on Friday night. Puerto Banús is a short walk or transfer from most of our villa portfolio. A dinner at La Sala or Leone followed by drinks at Linekers works well as a first night out — social enough to get the group together, relaxed enough that everyone is ready for the main event on Saturday.

If you go out on Friday, keep it relatively contained. Saturday is the day that counts and the best boat days start with a group that actually got some sleep.

Day 2 — Saturday: The Boat, Then the Night Out

Saturday is built around one main experience. For three-day weekends, that experience is almost always the boat — and after years of planning these weekends, it is easy to understand why.

Catamaran hen party Marbella — boat day departing Puerto Banús

The catamaran

The catamaran departs from Puerto Banús marina. You are on the water by mid-morning, out along the Marbella coastline with the Sierra Nevada visible in the distance on a clear day. The combination of open sea, sunshine, good music, and the group all together in one place — with no phones, no logistics to manage, nothing to organise — is the moment that most groups say was the highlight of the entire weekend.

Most charters run for around four hours. You are back at the marina by early afternoon, which gives the group time to return to the villa, recover, eat, shower, and get ready for the evening at a relaxed pace rather than a panic.

We offer three boat options for hen groups — a classic catamaran, a hen party cruise, and an ultimate yacht experience — at different price points and with different group capacity. Every charter is private. You are not sharing the boat with strangers.

Boat days in Marbella are weather-dependent but the Costa del Sol has over 300 days of sunshine per year. From May through September you can plan an outdoor boat day with near-total confidence. We always confirm conditions in advance and, in the very rare event of genuinely bad weather, we rearrange.

Saturday afternoon — back at the villa

The hours between getting back from the boat and going out in the evening are some of the best of the weekend. Cold drinks by the pool, music on, everyone getting ready together. If you want to add a cocktail station, a DJ, or a themed villa party setup for Saturday afternoon and evening, this is when it works best.

Marbella hen party nightlife — VIP table Puerto Banús

Saturday night

For the Saturday night out, we plan two types of evenings depending on what the group wants.

A full night out in Puerto Banús. Dinner at a restaurant in the port, then a VIP table at one of the main nightlife venues. Linekers is the classic hen party choice — a roped VIP area, a plasma screen with the bride's name and photos, a dedicated male waiter, and a drinks credit for each guest. Tibu is Marbella's most well-known nightclub, best from around midnight, with a VIP table, bottle service, and a dedicated host. Pangea is a large club with a VIP table option and a different atmosphere — bigger, louder, and brilliant for groups who want a proper club night.

A restaurant dinner and early night. Not every group wants a 3am finish on Saturday. A dinner at Oak Firehouse — welcome glass of cava, two courses, premium mains — followed by drinks at the villa is a completely legitimate Saturday night for groups who want to feel good on Sunday morning for the beach club.

We build the Saturday evening into your proposal and handle every booking. You are not ringing venues or chasing confirmations — we do all of that, and everything is confirmed before you travel.

Day 3 — Sunday: Beach Club, Then Home

Sunday does not have to feel like a wind-down. Done right, it is a proper day in its own right.

Beach club hen party Marbella — VIP beds Sunday Puerto Banús

The beach club

Puerto Banús beach clubs are one of the defining experiences of a Marbella hen weekend and Sunday is one of the best days to do them. The atmosphere is more relaxed than Saturday, the weather is reliably warm from late morning, and you have the whole afternoon before transfers back to the airport.

We book VIP beds with a dedicated service area for the group. You arrive together, your beds are waiting, and there is waiter service throughout the afternoon. No queuing, no awkward conversations at the door, no one getting separated.

Kova's Sunday Bottomless Brunch is the most popular option we include for three-day weekends. It runs from midday to 8pm, with a four-hour bottomless package covering cocktails and mocktails, sharing food, and a live DJ. It works perfectly as a Sunday session — relaxed enough that it does not feel like a sprint, fun enough that it genuinely does not feel like the end of the weekend until you are actually in the taxi to the airport.

Ocean Club is another option for groups who want a different atmosphere — iconic setting, exceptional service, and a higher minimum spend that suits groups looking for a premium Sunday experience.

Getting home

Most UK evening flights from Málaga depart between 8pm and 11pm. Depending on your flight time, Sunday transfers from Puerto Banús to the airport typically leave late afternoon. We build the transfer timing into your itinerary so there is no last-minute scramble to work out logistics.

What a 3-Day Marbella Hen Weekend Costs

For a group of 12, a three-night villa plus catamaran, Sunday beach club, one restaurant dinner, villa grocery delivery, and all transfers typically comes in between £550 and £900 per person depending on the villa and the specific options chosen.

The main cost driver is the villa. The size, specification, and location of the property accounts for the biggest difference in per-person price between groups. A villa sleeping 12 in the heart of Puerto Banús will cost more per person than a villa sleeping 20 a short transfer away — but the per-person price often works out lower for larger groups because the villa cost is spread further.

Adding a private chef on Friday, a villa party package on Saturday, or upgrading to the yacht rather than the catamaran moves the per-person figure up, but these are all optional additions that we include as separate line items in every proposal so your group can decide what to include.

Frequently Asked Questions About Marbella Hen Weekend Itineraries

Is 3 days enough for a Marbella hen weekend?

Yes — genuinely. Three days is the most common format for UK groups because it maps onto a standard long weekend without requiring five days of annual leave. Friday arrival, Saturday as the main day, Sunday beach club before the flight home. Done properly around two or three well-chosen experiences, it never feels short.

When is the best time of year for a Marbella hen weekend?

May, June, July, and August are peak season. The weather is guaranteed, the venues are at their best, and the atmosphere in Puerto Banús is exactly what most groups are picturing. May is as busy as July and August and books up just as fast — it is not a quieter alternative.

September and October are excellent if your group has flexibility — reliably warm, less crowded, and slightly easier on availability. April can work well too, though the evenings are cooler.

How far in advance should we book?

For summer dates — June, July, August — we recommend at least four to six months in advance for the villa, and ideally longer if your group is larger than 15. For spring and autumn dates, two to three months is usually comfortable. The sooner you have your proposal, the more options you have.

Do we need a car?

No. If you choose a villa in or close to Puerto Banús, almost everything is within walking distance or a short transfer. We arrange all transfers — airport, between venues, and back to the airport — as part of every booking.

What if we want to add more activities?

We plan every weekend from scratch. If your group wants a cocktail masterclass, archery tag, a spa morning, or a villa entertainment setup on top of the core itinerary, we add it into the proposal. You are not choosing from a fixed menu.
